Join internationally-acclaimed and multi-disciplinary artist Monika Bravo for a tour of her exhibition TESSERAE, at Johannes Vogt gallery in Chinatown.
Bravo is perhaps best known for September 10, 2001, uno nunca muere la vispera, a five minute video condensed from six hours of time-lapsed footage taken from atop the North Tower of the World Trade Center. She created the work during a 2001 summer artist-in-residency in the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council’s World Views program. Bravo was recently awarded a commission by MTA Arts and Design to design a wall in a Brooklyn subway station.
Light refreshments will be served.
