School Tours Available for Monet: The Early Years

Join us at the Legion of Honor for Monet: The Early Years, the groundbreaking exhibition devoted to the initial phase of Claude Monet’s career. We are delighted to offer two opportunities for students and educators to enjoy this popular exhibition. Our guided programs will be available on Mondays when the galleries are closed to the public. Additional viewing opportunities for self-guided tours are also available during the week. The Education Department will provide curriculum materials for Educators to prepare classrooms for their visits. Registration is required for all Monet Programming.

Guided Programs (K-5 and 9-12): Available Mondays April 3, 17, and May 1, 8, and 22. Twenty-one tour and art slots available every 10 minutes for 90 minutes total. Starting at 1:00 pm, seven tour-only slots available every 10 minutes. The program will consist of a 45 minute docent-led tour and a 45 minute studio activity.

Self-Guided Tours (Grades K-12): Available Tuesday and Thursday with four slots available every 10 minutes for each day. Time slots will be at 10:00 am, 10:10 am, 10:20 am, and 10:30 am. Each slot is limited to 40 students and chaperones. The window for self-guided school groups will be March 13th–May 5th.
