The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston Dear MFAH Community

Dear MFAH Community,

I hope this message finds you and your families safe, knowing that many of you have suffered losses, as some of our own staff has. Our facilities have fared well, thanks to the extraordinary efforts of our emergency team over the past week. We are now working hard to prepare the Museum for reopening, and to help our community return to normalcy.

We will reopen the doors of our Main Campus on Tuesday, September 5, and hope that many will come to the MFAH as a place for reflection and renewal. Admission will be fully free through Thursday, September 7. Please check mfah.org/updates for detailed visit information during this time, and to learn how any tickets you may have purchased can be refunded, exchanged or donated to the MFAH.

For now, Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens and Rienzi remain closed, while we determine a reopening date. The gardens of both houses flooded, but the houses and their collections remain secure.

Thank you for your commitment to your Museum. You will continue to hear from us as we work toward assuring that all of the Museum’s operations and programs are restored to fully serve you, our community, and all of Houston.
