The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco have a book club! Page Views will deepen engagement with works on view by pairing exhibitions with a companion text. Together, we’ll celebrate art history, literature, and the thrill of lively discussion among friends new and old.
This program introduces children ages 4 to 12 and their accompanying adults to folk art through interactive discussion-based tours in the galleries followed by hands-on artmaking activities inspired by objects in the museum.
One of the most significant precursors to what would become San Francisco’s 1960s counterculture was the cross-disciplinary artistic and literary movement known as the Beat Generation, which blossomed from the mid-1950s.
Join esteemed artist Dannielle Tegeder for a private tour of her studio at The Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts in Manhattan.
Tegeder’s work has explored abstraction through paintings and drawings, and more recently through large-scale installations, sculptural objects, video, sounds, and animation.
