Jan 24–Feb 6 @ LACMA exhibition Power of Pattern

Visit LACMA and experience first-hand, the amazing textiles in the exhibition Power of Pattern: Central Asian Ikats from the David and Elizabeth Reisbord Collection, opening Sunday, February 3. The show highlights Central Asia’s vivid textiles known as ikats, characterized by their blurred, cloud-like patterns which were influenced by the various cultures that traveled through or settled along the historic Silk Road.

Also, come say goodbye to Fantasies and Fairy Tales, a show that explores the role of fantasy and the recurrence of popular fairy tales, myths, and legends in the graphic arts in the years around 1900. Fantasies and Fairy Tales closes on Sunday, February 3.
