Celebrate Black History Month all February long at the DIA with visual art and art-making, poetry and prose, an array of musical traditions, dance, films and more.
On Friday, Feb 1, join us for a panel discussion with four women who are considered trailblazers of Detroit’s art scene, an Aretha Franklin Tribute by Motown Legends Gospel choir and Joan Belgrave, poetry readings, and a Greek Step Show celebrating African-American traditions.
