RICHARD MCDERMOTT MILLER COMPETITION Deadline: March 16, 2020 Open to sculptors born between 1984-1999

Applicants must be citizens of or residents in the USA with a social security number.

The Competition will take place on June 5, 2020 at the 2020 Sculpture Conference. It will be held in Daniel Chester French’s former studio at Chesterwood in Stockbridge, MA. Each selected competitor will receive a Participation Scholarship.

Objective: To successfully model a bust from life (from the neck up), working from a live model. Modeling will be done in front of an audience (sculptors, patrons, and others who are attending the Sculpture Celebration Conference).

SEWE PARTICIPATION SCHOLARSHIP

The SEWE Scholarship is directed toward an emerging wildlife sculptor.  The recipient will have the opportunity to attend NSS’ 2020 Sculpture Conference and the 2021 Southeastern Wildlife Exposition.

DEXTER JONES RESIDENCY

Open to sculptors born between 1980 – 2001

Applicants must be citizens of or residents in the USA with a social security number

The residency will be at Chesterwood, the former home and studio of Daniel Chester French located in Stockbridge, MA. The residency will begin on Monday, June 1, and finish on Monday, June 30, 2020.
