This newsletter marks a defining moment of convergence for the Portland Art Museum and Northwest Film Center

To our community,

This newsletter marks a defining moment of convergence for the Portland Art Museum and Northwest Film Center, as we come together and share our collective strengths. Many of you know the Museum and Film Center separately, but we are really one art institution, in which visual art, film, and new media are all integral. Amy Dotson joined us last fall as both Director of the Northwest Film Center and the Museum’s Curator of Film and New Media, underscoring our embrace of art experiences and visual storytelling in all their emerging forms.

We are working to provide broader curation and more comprehensive learning opportunities, to ensure that all perspectives are heard and valued at this critical time. While we all can’t be physically together, we can unite our incredible patrons, members, and partners who are the life force of our institutions.

Together, we hope to extend opportunities for all to discover, learn and connect during this time of social distancing and profound change. We welcome everyone who loves art in all its forms, treasures a great story well told, or is longing for connection or exploring new ways of seeing the world to join together.

As our community shows solidarity by staying apart for now, we remain committed to staying connected and rediscovering what unites us through the power of creativity. Thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely,
